Dreamweaver Techniques files open in a separate browser window. In addition to demonstrating an effect, each Technique offers access to the handwritten code that was used to create the effect as well as instructions for replicating the effect in Dreamweaver.

The code in the Technique file may be different from the code created when you follow the steps to reproduce the effect in Dreamweaver. This is because the Technique was hand-coded to account for a single case. The code produced by Dreamweaver is designed to account for a variety of cases, and often contains more sophisticated error-checking.
